The Core examination covers a range of topics considered to be knowledge required of every business analyst, systems analyst, and software engineer. In fact it is a fundamental knowledge base for any information systems and information technology professional.

The information technology professional is expected to understand the distinguishing characteristics of different types of systems, understand the business environment and human issues from the perspectives of management, system provider, and end-user. There are general categories into which systems and/or sub-systems fall which establish a framework for all subsequent decisions about a system.

You wll learn techniques for assuring accuracy and integrity of system data. This course will assist your understanding of the business environment and human issues, which affect information professionals. Additionally, you will understand and be able to apply generally accepted management and communication skills and techniques.
